Ben Quinn
Ben began his arts career as a musician, but soon turned to filmmaking. In his own words: “You use the same part of your brain to make music that you do in filmmaking. Film has always been my other great love, not to mention that it is far more graceful growing old as a director than it is as a rock singer!”

Ben’s diverse media background helped to hone his strong visual style. Starting off with documentaries, he then moved into short films and music videos.

Music promos for Australian artists Alex Lloyd, End Of Fashion and The Cat Empire followed. In 2005 he received two nominations for “Best Video” at the Australian Record Industry Awards (ARIA). He walked away with the top honour for End of Fashion’s ‘O Yeah’.

Moving into commercials, Ben delivered a series of documentary-style films for Reebok. Starring the brand’s footballing stars Thierry Henry, Andriy Shevchenko and Iker Casillas, the films are an integral part of the company’s “So You Think You Know Me?” campaign. One such spot was chosen as ‘Pick of the Week’ by the industry’s Campaign magazine.
