Johnny has recently completed his debut feature film as writer/director; ‘Acts of Godfrey’ starring Simon Callow, Harry Enfield and Celia Imrie. Johnny wrote the entire script in verse and brought his musical experience to bear with a score of remarkable originality and depth.

Johnny has just finished writing his next feature film, the taut psychological thriller; ‘Ghost of a Chance’, which may just allow him to finish the script for his musical film based around a family bereavement; ‘Goodbye Mother’.

In 2008 Johnny released his debut solo album ‘Promise’ which Word magazine called ‘one of the more remarkable efforts of recent times’. Johnny’s follow up album ‘A False Parade’ is due to be released in late spring 2011. He works from a studio in West London where his skills with Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools enable him to exert a hands-on approach that broadcaster David Quantick termed ‘an Orson Welles like mono-creator attitude’.

The past decade has been spent writing and producing comedy, notably the Radio 4 series ‘Radio9’ and ‘The Scanner’ which he went on to develop into his own TV series for BBC3 - ‘The Message’, causing Time Out to hail his ‘darkly satirical talent’ and Heat magazine to label him ‘the mighty Johnny Daukes’.

Having spent a short period as a runner and edit assistant, Johnny began cutting corporate videos then quickly moved onto documentaries, music videos and title sequences. He quickly realised that he wanted to tell stories of his own and established indie band FIN as singer/songwriter, being described by the NME as ‘the Dennis Potter of Indie Rock’.
